Teaching Effectiveness

Information technologies have a great potential to supplement traditional teaching environment. Teachers can go to the web, access educational research, and download classroom-teaching materials, and accordingly, tailor lessons to meet with the unique needs of their classroom students. Teachers can use computer systems for student records management and other administrative tasks, thereby creating free time for teaching material development or their own professional development. Teachers can communicate with the outside world, collaborate with peers and publish or share lesson plans using Internet tools. It is easy to incorporate a more personalized performance measurement tool in computer-aided instructions. The potential of information technology in improving the effectiveness of teaching must be harnessed.
