Learning Skill Development
"Learning how to learn" is the foundation of lifelong learning. Lifelong learning is a key of success at the 21st century workplaces. Oral presentations, note taking , active listening, time management, study planning, structured writing , memorizing tricks, collaborative study, creative and logical thinking are a few basic learning skills that are immediately useful and beneficial for higher education, career growth and workplace performance. Our traditional classroom settings, which focuses more on passive engagement and rote studying techniques, allows only a little space for learning skill development. Learning has to be a more active, encouraging and engaging experience for students, that needs teaching curriculum and learning materials that capture their imagination, challenge their curiosity and interest them in learning.
