This year, 200 of our students participated at the National level on the 13th of November,among other participants from Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Gurgaon and Bangalore. 2 of our students, Nikhil Patil and Divya Chaudhri from Nasik performed outstandingly and qualified for the Next Level.

PIF and MIT Media Lab Launch Scratch Pilot Program

Pratham InfoTech Foundation has launched a pilot program to develop logical thinking competencies and increase awareness about computer programming for students of 5th to 7th standards. The program makes extensive use of Scratch, a graphical programming language developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab.

Mission 100 Accomplished

Pratham InfoTech Foundation is glad to announce the successful achievement of Mission 100. Mission 100 aimed at starting work in 100 schools thus providing e-education to around 50,000 students. Madhav Chavan wins education 'Nobel prize'

This year's winner of one of the biggest awards in international education is Madhav Chavan - who has provided an education for millions of impoverished families in India.Dr Chavan has won the WISE Prize, which has been likened to a "Nobel prize for education".The award, announced on Tuesday at the WISE summit in Qatar, recognises his education work in the slums of Mumbai."Much more remains to be done," said Dr Chavan, when he received the prize.  read more.. video click here..
UTKARSH- An initiative towards Student Enrichment

In 2011 Pratham InfoTech Foundation – Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited partnered to pilot an educational enrichment initiative called Utkarsh in 10 schools of Mumbai. This year the intervention has been scaled to 15 more schools in Mumbai covering around 525 secondary school students and 28 young teachers in Utkarsh fellowship program.

PIF-WNS to benefit 5,200 school children through Computer Aided Learning centres in Maharashtra
On 1st October 2012 Pratham InfoTech Foundation in partnership with WNS extended the Computer Aided Learning (CAL) program in 8 Government aided and low income schools of Mumbai, Pune and Nasik, Maharashtra. The program will benefit 5,200 primary and secondary school children. The CAL center was inaugurated by Mr. Keshav Murugesh, CEO- WNS, Mr. Matt Idle and Mr. Pete Parsons – British Gas (England). The school children welcomed the guest in the traditional way with tikka, welcome song and lezium. Mr. Keshav Murugesh address the children about the importance of technology in today’s world. The program was ended by a patriotic dance by the secondary school children.

Teacher Development Program for primary grade school teachers

From July 2012 Pratham InfoTech Foundation in partnership with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited introduced a 2 year intensive, result-oriented Leadership Development Program for primary grade school teachers and principals. The objective of the program is to foster a student-centric culture and facilitate an environment more congenial to learning at the schools. The program is initiated in 14 schools of Mumbai (Digital Literacy Life Skill schools) covering 32 primary grade school teachers. WNS and PIF launch libraries in 14 different schools of Pune, Nasik and Gurgaon

WNS and Pratham Infotech Foundation together launched libraries stocked with an interesting collection of books, novels, story books, magazines amongst other reading materials in Pune, Gurgaon and Nasik. The libraries will reach out to nearly 13,000 students from 14 different schools in the above mentioned cities. Currently, Pratham Infotech Foundation runs Computer Assisted Learning Programs in these 14 schools from underserved areas of Pune, Gurgaon and Nasik. The many distinguished speakers who inaugurated the libraries, stressed on encouraging students’ reading habits. Madhav Chavan leads Pratham, whose goal is to ensure that every child is in school and learning well. PIF and WNS to launch Computer Aided Learning(CAL) centers in Pune, Nasik, Mumbai and Gurgaon

WNS and Pratham InfoTech Foundation have proposed to start 14 Computer Aided Learning(CAL) centers in Pune, Nasik, Mumbai and Gurgaon. The program will cover approximately ~13,136 primary and secondary school children. For the proposed CAL Program, 27 Sancharaks will be recruited. The project will start from January 2011 to March, 2013.
PIF and IBM join hands to set up IGNOU-affiliated Youth Training Program with Pratham community College

Youth Training Program is Pratham InfoTech Foundation's initiative to equip youngsters with IT education; the program began in December 2010. With the support of IBM, Pratham Community College is currently teaching Computer Teaching Training( in association with IGNOU), DTP, Tally and Office Automation to youngsters in Panvel, Satara, Khamgaon, Raigad and Ratnagari. More than 82 youngsters from different communities have already been a part of PIF's Youth Training Program
